A project starts with a question rather than a quotation. Many inquiries arrive generic, and in a good number of cases the requirement has not yet been settled on the customer's side either. Engineering is what turns that into something specifiable, and it is why a quotation from SIMSAN is rigid rather than provisional: the scope behind it has been worked out first.
About SIMSAN
An engineering company that supplies equipment
SIMSAN Engineering Co. Ltd. works in industrial electrical, instrumentation and control. Engineering defines the requirement; supply and integration follow it.
SIMSAN is a solution providing company first. The scope of the work is engineering, procurement and integration.
Supply of equipment, devices and parts across electrical, instrumentation and mechanical disciplines runs alongside that scope rather than ahead of it, and after sales service is treated as part of the same piece of work rather than as a separate transaction.
That order matters, because it is what the company sells. Anyone can quote a part number. The value is in knowing which part number the process actually needs, and in being able to say why.
What engineering has to account for
Engineering is the part of a project that cannot be skipped, and in SIMSAN's view it is not only a technical exercise. It covers the economics of the project too, with a view to how the plant will run years from now.
Technically, it takes account of environmental conditions, the location and extent of the project, each item of equipment considered both individually and in conjunction with everything around it, ambient conditions as they are in operation rather than on the datasheet, and the physical and chemical parameters of the process itself.
Economically, engineering is not the selection of the cheapest device. It is the selection of an optimised strategy: a trade-off of cost against efficiency, with an insistence on the minimum technical requirement being met, assessed over the long term rather than at the moment of purchase.
The argument behind all of this is simple. The cost of bad engineering, or of skipping it, is far higher than good engineering costs. Plant owners often think in terms of equipment and devices, and end up paying for the results of engineering that was weak or absent.
Where the experience comes from
SIMSAN was built on more than sixteen years of prior work in industry. Ten of those years were spent on installation, commissioning, start-up, maintenance, design and supervision across petrochemical, steel, sugar cane and other industries. A further six were spent in close cooperation with Emerson, covering sales, after sales service and training. That accumulated work is what the company was founded on.
Since then SIMSAN has provided and delivered solutions across a wide range of applications, both in new plants and in the modernisation of existing ones, where current systems and machines replace older and outdated equipment.

Industries
SIMSAN works in six industries. Steel, within mine and metals, and sugar cane with its side product industries are the longest standing, and both trace back to the experience the company was founded on. Oil and gas, chemical and petrochemical, power and energy, and clean and renewable energy are areas of activity and interest, with the same instrument and control disciplines applying across all of them.
Method
How SIMSAN works
Sourcing follows the same discipline. SIMSAN buys through a reliable and maintained database of manufacturers, suppliers and integrators, each of them selected deliberately. That is what keeps fake and counterfeit product out of what is supplied, and it matters commercially as well as technically, because the damage a counterfeit instrument does in service costs far more than the instrument.
Equipment supplied is original and brand new, mostly from well known European manufacturers, and it carries the manufacturer's standard support, guarantee and warranty. Stock held in SIMSAN's own storage is bought new and direct from the original manufacturers.
From there the work is integration, installation, commissioning and start-up, in the shape each project needs.
Long term support
Delivery of an order is not the end of a project at SIMSAN. It is the point at which the work of protecting that project starts.
The manufacturer's guarantee and warranty are transferred to the customer on the manufacturer's own terms, with nothing added and nothing removed. Alongside that, SIMSAN can provide installation, commissioning, start-up and training where a project needs them.
Those are services offered where they fit the project, rather than a standing service contract. Tell us the scope and we will say plainly which of them apply.
